P For Playground of Paradise – Mo Gaon Danda!!!

No playground is as beautiful, as accommodating as Mo Gaon Danda….The frontyard of my village, It’s the Playground of Paradise – Mo Gaon Danda!!!
This morning when I opened Facebook It took me to the memories of this day, last year.
Last year this date I was at my hometown, my parental place, Aska, Odisha. It’s a small town cocooned in the greenery of nature. The lane where our home situated is a village though with time acquired all the modern amenities. In fact it’s not that typically described villages in textbooks…having huts and fields around with no facilities. In my village apart from no – huts in sights every second home owns a four wheeler, every home has 2 to 3 ACs, let alone other electronic gadgets and appliances. Life is not just beautiful here but very comfortable too.
THE SIGHT FROM MY HOME AT MY VILLAGE…..
The basic difference in city life and village life is, NOT LIFE BUT LIFESTYLE…Isn’t it?
I feel there are Ps that define the Lifestyle at Village
PERFECT PLACE – If you are in search of a life to live in harmony with nature Village is the Perfect Place. People have the whole lot for their minimum necessities of life. Nothing extra has to be done to meet your life’s requirement.
PEOPLE – People are simple, content and satisfied, far away from complexities.
POLLUTION FREE – The Villages are free from the hustle and bustle of a city life. Even though every home owns a vehicle that consumes fuels but their uses are minimum and they use them only when there is a genuine requirement. Moreover you can breathe fresh air because the natural green covers are still intact.
PHYSICAL WELL-BEING – In villages people are always provided with fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, water, and clear air so life is mostly hale and hearty. Peace, Pollution free air, Fresh vegetables and fruits, jostle free living…what else you need for a life of pink of health and best of spirit !!
PEACEFUL – The villages are mostly ruled by calmness. Even though lifestyle in villages is a community living but people prefer peace and tranquility in their individual lives.
The Playground of Paradise – Mo Gaon Danda!!!
Well I know…People leave villages for search of a better livelihood most of the times. But I feel it’s mostly for two reasons basically. One, there might be something terribly wrong happened in the villages like flood, drought etc taking away the means of their living which is always minimum.
Two and mostly it’s the dominant reason, the dream of a City Life, A Luxurious Life to be precise.
However, I know those who had a life rooted in a village or small city, now based in a City or metropolitan, must be missing that life. Somewhere feeling that they have done a very bad deal because they have bartered Simple and healthy Life with A Complex Luxurious Life. At least I feel so, may be differing with many.
Village Live Vs City Life…
Well, I love the life at my village though I make very few trips to it given to the compulsions of life. Last year I had been to it in April. One afternoon, while I was having my tea sitting at the verandah of my home, I saw these children playing around. I started observing….There were no particular rules for that game. It was like jumping and pulling the pamphlets hanging above….and whoever is successful getting one, even touching one, others would clap with laughter. So simple no… Do you need expensive gadgets, lavish sports equipment to get such simple pleasure! Or do you need a specially crafted playground to play…

We say it Gaon Danda (ଗାଁ ଦାନ୍ଡ) in Odia means the road that goes through the heart of the village. This Gaon Danda is a multipurpose place in villages actually. Apart from basic communications they also organized fairs, village dramas, theatres, processions of rituals, etc on it. It’s just like the Mother’s Lap….a place where everything you feel is positive, where you will just have pleasure and bliss…
Looking at the children and the whole landscape I just felt how lucky they were as unlike the children in big cities who just coming out of Mother’s lap have to walk on the roads, go to nurseries, learn and be skilled and programmed, they just play and learn life in the a place like mother’s lap coming out of their mother’s laps….
In Cities we have roads, In Villages, its Gaon dand, Mother Nature’s lap…

Those children were actually playing in the Playground of Paradise…I felt!!!
Maa ki god se khelte khelte siddhha gaon Mata ki God Mein…..

O For On Their Faces, Optimistic Smile!!!

Life was waiting for me to serve with a magic potion as I was going to witness most lovely smile, On Their Faces, Optimistic Smile!!
This morning, I found them selling fresh vegetables. As I live in a third floor flat in our building so I don’t get much opportunity to buy from hawkers who occasionally visit our lane. Most of the time, I don’t even know when they come and when they go. Well, today I heard their voices from the height of my flat and decided to go down and see what vegetables were available with them though I was sure most of them must have sold out as they were surrounded by many people in our lane.

I was right. Most of the vegetables were already sold. Still they were surrounded by 4 to 5 persons including two Aunties from my own building. I waited for my turn. I observed, the boy and the girl were struggling to calculate the amounts properly, quite naïve to handle the hard seasoned bargainers as customers. The woman was just giving what the customers were asking her. It gave me an idea that they weren’t regular into that profession. May be just before few days – may be 2-3 days before – they might have started it. In fact I had to convince one of the Aunties of my building not to bargain for Rs, 10/- or Rs.20/- looking at the efforts they are putting up. I must say, I hate bargaining or you may say that I am very bad in that…so I just don’t do it.

Both the children’s eyes caught me standing, calm and cool. I didn’t want to confuse them as they were really not able to handle so many of us at a time. As they asked what I wanted, I saw and chosen among what was available. I took and paid whatever amount they asked for without checking. But the boy again calculated and confirmed the same to me. The baskets were almost empty. Other customers had already left. So I asked them if the children were going to school or not. The woman told me that the girl was her daughter and the boy was her nephew. Both go to school, STD III and STD XI respectively. Her husband – a construction labor – had gone for a project and struck there due to lock down. They live in the nearby village. She doesn’t work as her means are managed comfortably.
Fresh Green Vegetables During Lock Down Life, On Their Faces Optimistic Smile

I asked them then how come she thought about selling vegetables?

She told me, “kya karein madam, mera admi ghar nahi aa pa raha hai. Paison ka Thoda dikkat hai abhi, gaon mein kissishe idea mila to laga ki woh yeh kaam kar sakti hai aur bachhe bhi ghar mein hain to thoda madaad miljayega.”
I understood. So I said, “It’s okay, don’t worry”
But suddenly both girl and the boy said unanimously, “koi baat nahi maam, Corona jaldi chala jayega, sabkuchh jaldi hi thik hojayega”

I felt good at the confidence and conviction they were showing…both looked cherubic, carefree, thoroughly enjoying the new trade that they have delved into because of life’s compulsion. Not a gain of stress at all on their faces….
instead they had smiles reflecting the positive aura 🙂

“Achha…tumhe kaise pata” I said with a smile.
They smiled and said….
Aisa hi hoga….Dekhna!!

They promised me that tomorrow they will bring vegetables (bahut hai unke wahan…they said) and they would look for me to be their first customer as I was last today and didn’t have much choice.
As I insist, they posed happily before my camera.
And then left….
I must say…they were just treat to soul and heart…I swear.
We are all going through a very different life, Life during Lock down. an invisible Enemy is staring at us with it’s deadly spikes and tentacles to clutch us.
As I came back, spread the vegetables, they reminded me the smiling faces of those kids and their innocent optimism.
I felt as if I was given a potion of confidence by them as it affirmed my conviction as well.  We will all sail through this and come out of this situation, Soon.On Their Faces Optimistic Smile…a symbol of hope and things-will-change-anyway

N For NEVER WASTE FOOD – An Advice from My Father

Never waste food….I don’t remember how many times my father might have uttered these words in his life time: may be millions of times…because at least I have heard them from him countless times.

Have you ever seen a kid serious about food? I guess…No!! So was I. But the difference was my father used to be very strict (in fact very very strict) about “wasting food”. If he would ever see anybody wasting food, throwing them into garbage bin, quickly his eyes would turn red with anger. He would instantly turn in to a DEVIL…I swear. He would right away start lecturing that person. If that person happened to be someone from his family…LORD!! All hell would break lose instantly. He would simply become mad.

One can really imagine now how would he be at home. Hitler – Reborn perhaps!!!At home, we were strictly instructed that, “Only that much food should we take in the platter, that we could finish”. No extra amount which we might not be able to eat. It was not just an instruction but a diktat. In fact we were taught that we should take small portions, finish it first… then take more if we wish. Our mother was strictly instructed accordingly.

But we were kids. Sometimes if taste wasn’t good then who will eat? You can’t…right! I remember it was one of the most difficult things to handle for us those days. At times my mother used to cover us if we were caught by father leaving food in the platter.  But many times we were caught sadly though “wasting food” and faced the monstrous red eyes of our father; sometimes spanked also.

I used to feel bad in fact very bad and little confused too with that attitude of my father. I mean… how would I know food is tasty or not before eating? And if the food isn’t tasty then how could I eat it? Then I have to throw it…right! But did He ever understand that? NO…simply not. I used to feel.

Well, as my father was pre – independent born and also a self made man, it was difficult to make him understand how we felt those days. However good thing was he had a great command over all the scriptures including the epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana…etc. He was not only using stringency to discipline us but many a time he would tell us the bed time stories from those scriptures to convince us about many things he wanted to teach. In fact I would say…I have learnt the best lessons of my life through his stories only.

One day he told us a story about “importance of food”. I swear that story still rings in me and perhaps for the first time lead that foundation in my attitude to care about food and not to waste a grain of it.

The story goes like this…
The story is from the Epic Mahabharat:

The Kurukshetra war was over. King Yudhistir was ruling Hastina Pur with all his kindness and generosity towards his subject.  Once there was a severe drought in Hastina Pur. So Raja Yudhistira asked his younger brother Prince Bhima to get some food grains and other help from the neighboring states.

Bhima went and gathered as much food items as possible from all his neighboring states and loaded them in the carts and started his returned journey towards Hastina Pur

On the way there was a broken bridge that stopped his caravan of carts to go any further. He was tensed. Then he learnt Kubera – The Lord of Wealth was staying nearby. He decided to take help from him.

As he reached at Kubera’s residence, he saw a man, clad with a dhoti till his knees, was picking scattered grains from ground.

He said, “Excuse me! Can I meet Lord Kubera??”

The man said without raising his head, “I’m Kubera…tell me what you want”

Prince Bhima was confused. He had the idea that Kubera was a wealthy person. And the man before him looks very ordinary and what’s weirder was he picking grains from ground. Why Lord of Wealth would really care for handful of grains. How could he be Kubera? No Wayy..

He turned red. Bhima is known to be short tempered.  He said angrily, “See, and don’t play with me. I’m quite stressed as the broken bridge has stopped our journey. We are carrying food grains that our subjects need badly. Delay would cost us many lives. So please let me talk to Lord Kubera and get some urgent help”. Bhima was really edgy.

“Oh!! Is this the problem? The man said. You don’t worry Prince Bhima. I will sort out your problem within moments?”

Bhima looked bewildered and confused…

But the man immediately asked his employees to act swiftly and take “Sacks of Grain” from the warehouse and put them on the broken bridge making a “grain bridge” so that the carts could move on it.
It all happened within split seconds. Bhima was quite dazed and taken aback. He realized the man before him was none other than The Lord Of Wealth –  Kubera. But the man was really quite deceptive.
Looking at his perplexities the man came to him and said, “Rajkuman Bhima, I understand your bewilderment. How could you imagine”The Lord of Wealth – Kubera” would be picking small and scattered grains from the ground?? But I value each and every grain. These little grains together only make a sack. Isn’t it?”

Bhima nodded.

“I’m not wealthy because I have wealth; I’m wealthy because I value even a small penny of it. I never wasted a small grain. Food is necessary for human’s survival. I can’t see even a small grain getting wasted but I can afford “sacks of grain” put on the bridge so that million lives could be saved. Because the primary need of food is to save human life.”Said Lord Kubera.

Then he looked at Bhima’s face. Bhima looked convinced and full of respect and gratitude. He realized the wisdom given by Kubera. After expressing gratitude to Lord Kubera He returned Hastina Pur and million drought ridden lives were really saved.

I don’t remember how many times I have heard this story from my father.  In fact it set the foundation in me to understand the importance of every grain of food. Later I learnt how hunger takes million lives every year across the world. The food wasted is nothing but making some people die in hunger. We must realize the importance of food and food items.

From that day, trust me, I never wasted food. I stayed in hostels throughout my academic years and I have seen how students used to waste food. Many times I have stopped them too..but it’s not just one person’s work. I also teach the same to my kid as well, not to waste food.

We should NEVER WASTE FOOD… It’s not just becoming wealthy or not but it’s our human responsibility not to waste food.

Remember….A grain of food wasted is like a “Human body” becoming lifeless… and realize!!

NEVER WASTE FOOD…A hearty advice by my father… still resonates in me!
NEVER WASTE FOOD – A grain of food wasted is like a “Human body” becoming lifeless

M For Masks!!!

Masks, Millions of Masks
We have wore time and again
Of Happiness, Joy, Anger or Pain

We born pure and innocent
Chaste and clean
Wearing a Face of an angelic beam

With life we are taught
To wear masks of many things
Good manners or etiquette

Life further taught us to wear masks
To cover our emotions
Of sadness or grief of the face

Million moments we have lived
With a mask on our countenance
To camouflage our reality, truths & facts

Millions of masks we changed
Over different moments of time
Making us lose the pure soul within

Often wisdom of scriptures teach us
To shed those masks
Of deceit, falsehood & pretense

Let’s shed those masks
Of disguise cast, concealing outfit
That has obscured, the inner light

However…Wait, Wait, Wait
We Know….

Often superheroes like
Batman, Spider man…wear masks
To hide their identity while doing noble tasks

Often a mask helps us veil
The pain of failure & heartbreak
And give us strength to trail

Often when life turns bit
Ugly and hostile
We wear a mask of pretentious smile

Often masks has helped us perform
Our Role in the Drama of Life
And follow its norms…

What I understood with Life & its process …
It’s not the mask but the reason
For which we wear it …matters

So friends…

Now the time is not for shedding the mask
But Wear one
Could be a N95, Surgical or Made in Home

Just Wear a Mask on your Face
To face the challenge and fight
The monster Corona Virus

It’s an Invisible Enemy
That’s with its spikes out there
To challenge the humans and their everyday affair

Mask is a simple weapon
Yet very efficient & potential arm
And the best strategy for this warfare…..

.

We have Wear a Mask
Every Now and Then
To conceal our emotions
Happiness and Pain
Then why not now one
To save the Humanity From Corona….

WEAR A MASK….WHILE GO OUT!!!!

TO DEFEAT THE ENEMY CORONA VIRUS!!!!

Mask
A Mask is inevitable In Life Now and It’s Task!!

L For Letter to My Son on His 16th B-Day!

Letter to My Son on His 16th B-Day!

Dear Pupun,

Happywala Bday!!!

Today is your 16th B-Day. I know you had so many plans which just couldn’t fall in line. There are unpredictable developments which came up and we have to comply with that. But you know what that’s fine…That’s life also. Sometimes it happens that way only to give you a different dimension to look at life.

Happywala Birthday!! Letter to My Son on His 16th B-Day!

It seems as if the moments just went in jiffy. How can it be possible that sixteen years have passed since the first time I held you in my arms? I remember every detail about your birth, and often rerun that day in the silver screen of my mind. I still remember how the nurse handed me a tiny bundle of joy wearing an angelic beam on the face and wrapped up in white.  I just felt like I got the world in my arms. You know what I always wished I could go back and relive it one more time. I swear!!

I always think that I must have done something heavenly good, in this life, last life, whatever they say that I am blessed with a son like you. You have created a love inside of me so fierce, so indestructible, so unrelenting, so unconditional and eternal.

Today you are 16 and I am proud that you are on the right way to grow up as an amazing young man.  The shine on your face and the light on your character always affirm me that probably we have been rightly doing our parenting, at least. I am incredibly proud of you as you never disappointed me to be a nice boy. Honestly, I don’t have any set of high expectations in terms of material achievements from you. I know you have the strength and potency to carve out whatever you want from the nature and I believe everyone is destined to archive whatever destiny has stored for them.

I want you to keep that confidence and poise you have now. It often surprises me how people are drawn to you. How easily you make friends. I can send you to a camp half way across the country, knowing nobody, and you come home with a dozen new best friends. I admire your quiet strength in the way you accept the unfair things that happens to you. You keep moving forward, never letting them drag you down.

Keep on trying new things; Continue to meet new people, never be afraid of exploring the unknown; you never know what door opens if you just put your steps out there, And face the challenges head on, You will make mistakes, but its okay because that’s how you learn lessons and become a better person. I have certainly made my share of them, and still make them today. Those mistakes created the path to the amazing life I have today. Doing mistake is human and accepting it and correcting the same is the process of being a better human.

You know I am not here lecturing you anything on your special day. In fact I always feel you have taught me more that what I have taught you. You taught me that we don’t need a reason to smile and celebrate life. You taught me patience. I learnt from you that screaming at life does help you accomplish anything. Instead be calm and let things pass. You flamed the goodness in me, watered the innocence, purity and childlike composure in me to endure the hard waves t times. You taught me not to sweat the small things and better learn new things instead. You never really care what people think of you. You choose to see the good in people, and stand up for others even when you are standing alone. Trust me because of you my life has become much more gratifying

However I have been a lecturing mom at times just because that’s the way mom are supposed to be. I know you tag me as a #TooSanskari mom but moms by default are too Sanskari, always. I don’t want/expect anything from you in return because you have given me much more.

I pray your life is everything you dreamed it could be. Remember how loved you are. You are my sweet baby, mom’s little hero, dad’s best cool dude…We will all always be here for you – your biggest fans.

I want all of your cherished dreams to come true. I never want you to feel unworthy or undeserving of anything, because you deserve the absolute best that life has to offer.

My only wish is be a good human being because the world has a dearth of such species.

Your story is just beginning. I can’t wait to watch you write it…

Happy B-Day Once again.

Your Mama

With life what I observed that it’s more about how we look at life than the life itself…This poem is dedicated for on your 16th B-Day…

Life is a melody sweetest only when

We live it happily in the laughter lane

Life is a magic, strange one though

We believe in its miracles, every moment & so

Life is curse, when we hurt someone

Never feeling the ache, again & again

Life is tragic, when we allow ourselves to be hurt

Feeling frail & puny, which are simply we are not

Life is an adventure, if we dare to dream

Our destiny dances with glory, in the silver screen

Every day on earth is a Theater Day

And We are all actors of a DIVINE PLAY

Life is a Drama and We are here to Perform

Finding its Purpose and Act as per its Norm

Let’s Put on Those Make-ups and Masks

And Resolute To Perform Our Best

Life Is Full Of Typos and Errors

Some May Be Auto Corrected

Some Will Never….

Life is a misadventure, when we fear

Of losing those people whom we adore

Life is an institution, if we love to learn

The wisdom it offers, with its pros and cons

Life is a dream in the fantasy land

With the proverbial genie and its magic wand

Life is love, if we have a tender heart

The best thing on the Universe and on the planet Earth!!!

K For Kanvashram in Uttarakhand – A Mystic Encounter!!

Kanvashram in Uttarakhand – A Mystic Encounter!!

Hello Readers,

Welcome to my Post.

This story has been written by Mr.Rakesh Nautiyal, a Senior Scientist, GM at ONGC. Recently I came across him and become friends. There are many interesting stories he would tell at times…being a globetrotter.  Basically from Uttarakhand, he had a real life encounter at this nature nestled place Kanvashram in Uttarakhand. It’s really interesting….Read on.

This is the story of a real incident of my life. My family was residing in a small town Kotdwar in the state of Uttarakhand. Kotdwar is a city, a Municipal Corporation and a tehsil in the Pauri Garhwal district of UttarakhandIndia. It is located on the bank of river Khoh. It is situated in the south-western part of the state and is one of the main entrance points in the state of Uttarakhand.

Mr.Rakesh Nautiyal.@pari3105

Kanvashram in Uttarakhand
Saint Kanva, Kanvashram in Uttarakhand

Situated in the foothill of Himalayas the town is encircled by small mountain range from two sides and the southern side is open towards plain land the entry point for the hilly region and northern boundary touches the Rajaji national park. Our house was in the midst of Mango orchard with a beautiful garden in front of the house. I have seen my mother always working and maintaining the different type of flowers in the garden. We all brothers and sisters loved to play outdoors games in the mango orchard spread over 8 Bighas of land having trees of Ashok, Guwava, lichhi, Pear & some rare medicinal trees, daily after returning from school within our premises. I always feel very nostalgic to remember the good old days. I have completed my higher secondary studies in the same town & went to Dehradun for further studies.

The story goes like this….it was just after few days of my marriage and we wanted to visit the temple for the deity’s blessings and planned to take my wife to the nearby place called Kanvashram.

To give a little introduction about Kanvashram it is said to be the birthplace of Emperor Bharat and an important place both historically, culturally and archaeologically in the history of India. It is located on the bank of the river Malini flowing alongside it, which makes it carefully, nestled in Mother Nature. The place was about 12 km from my home.

It is believed that Indra, the king of Gods, scared by The Sage Vishwamitra’s meditation, sent a beautiful celestial damsel named Menaka to the earth to disrupt his meditation. She succeeded in disturbing Vishwamitra’s meditation. With their union, she gave birth to a girl child. Menaka having succeeded in her purpose left the child on the bank of the river Malini and went back to her heavenly abode. This child was found by sage Kanna who brought her up in his ashram called Kanvashram. She was named Shakuntla by the sage. She later married to the King of this region named Dushyanta. She gave birth to a son who was called Bharata, the prince after whom India was named as Bharatavarsha. It is believed that nearly 10,000 pupils used to stay in the ashram of Kanva Rishi in ancient time to get Education. Since then the valley or Ghati is known as Kanvaghati.

Our trip to Kanvashram started as per the plan……Just like the rest of Uttarakhand, this place also boasts of lush green areas and mountains which are a breath-taking sight to behold. And among these forests live a number of wild animals, oblivious to the man –made inventions in their cities.

While visiting that place with my family, I couldn’t help but get drawn towards few animal enclosures they had there at the time just opposite to the Ashram. There was a temporary bridge over the Malini River connecting Ashram and the zoo maintained by the forest department. After all, it’s not every day that you get to see such beautiful wild animals roaming freely in their natural habitats…

Nevertheless, walking along such an enclosure, we spotted a gorgeous looking Barasingha aka a swamp deer. It was just like what animal planet would portray, with its majestic horns in all its glory. Suddenly, I felt an urge to go closer and feed it some snacks I had with me.

A natural Habitat for animals opposite to Kanvashram in Uttarakhand

Since I saw no guard at the enclosure entrance, I decided to try my luck and to my surprise, the gate to its enclosure was unlocked! As I walked inside and slowly towards the deer, visibly it sensed me moving towards it and looked in my direction, but did not waver from its spot.  I remember I was very impressed by its bravery. This encouraged me to get closer to it and I just went straight up to it and held out my hand with the snacks in it a few feet away from its head, hoping it would smell the food and come towards it. The fragrance must have gotten to it indeed, as the deer brought its nose onto my palms and started eating the food from it.

My wife was still standing near the gate. Only a couple of minutes must have passed that I suddenly heard a voice screaming in the background calling me to come out of the enclosure.
I complied, as I was already out of food to feed the deer. As soon as I was out, I saw a guard that had been waiting for me to reach the gate with bated breath.
He asked me in an exasperated voice, almost angry: “Why did you go inside the enclosure sahib?”

I told him why did I go there and asked him what the matter was and he promptly informed me:
“That Barasingha is extremely aggressive; it could have killed you in a second! He has already killed one person before and injured many.”

Surprised at that news, I asked him how all that was possible for that deer that looked so gentle.  However he told me that I was very lucky that it didn’t attack me because if it had, the officials would not have been able to save me.

Hearing that it’s true that I was hugely shocked ……………… and as I looked back at the enclosure, the deer was still standing with the same peaceful posture as before as if trying to disprove the guard’s facts. I soon realised how lucky I had been and made a mental note of being careful around animals as looks can be very deceiving!

But the fact is, wild animal are not always wild until provoked by humans.Even the most simple of life forms exhibit behavioral activity, and whether the behavior is normal or abnormal can provide insight into their mental state.

Instinct is a powerful force in the animal world. It dictates the behaviors necessary for survival, especially in species that don’t get much guidance from their parents. These behaviors are programmed into an animal at a genetic level. It may seem that what drives animal behavior ultimately boils down to a pretty simple factor: survival.

It seems obvious that the role of survivorship is pretty powerful. Nature tends to reward the behaviors that best ensure that an individual escapes predators or finds food.’Survival of the fittest… right?

I was only feeding him, so his behavior was quite normal. Probably it understood my intentions.

On my way back I realized that may be this has been a message taught to me in the vicinity of the Kanvashram…that had once educated thousands of pupils. They say na…The aura of a place has its own mysticism around. 🙂

It was truly a mystical encounter for me….

Kanvashram in Uttarakhand

Isn’t it really touching…Hope you had a great read!!

J For JUG of My life…

Jug Of My Life…..

While my days were filled with happiness & delights,

She asked me to dress up sexy and bright

While My Nights were teary & painful,

She warned me to stop tormenting,

Else I would develop wrinkles…

When I was surrounded with Fix and Doubts,

She instructed me; look into your heart to kick them out

When my Fears, flaws and Ugly moments,

Made it difficult for me to counter them

She came out with humor and unusual banter

To defeat and triumph over their norms.

While Hopelessness was playing a cruel game with me,

She helped me find the Cheer and Pleasure hidden within

She laughed crazily in my most embarrassing moments

While boosted my strength at toughest things at times,

When I was stuck at the weakest moment

To say the World “I Quit”

She patted my back too hard,

Showed me my soul,

Which was happy & Glee

Telling me “You can’t quit”

“Because you just don’t have the right”

“To leave the world half way,

When best things are waiting ahead on your way”

 She shook me hard

To get me out of that state

 From that most vulnerable moment

She is the JUG of my Life

The Only Person

Whom I had turned up again and again

To share my happiness, weaknesses, strengths and pain

She is My Most Trusted and Tried Friend

She Is the OTHER ME …My Dear

She Is The Girl in the Mirror!!!

By Default, We all long for a TRUE FRIENDSHIP

where there is a mutual yearning for companionship, a common bond of some kind.

Beyond that…

A genuine friendship engrosses a shared sense of caring and concern,

An aspiration to see one another grow and prosper,

And a wish,

For each other to be successful in all facets of life…

We all have that one person in our lives with whom we share the best bond, the bond of love, cooperation, trust and support. That One Person makes us complete, safe & secure. That One Person who accepts us the way we are,  listens to all our nonsense, dances like mad when happy, laughs loud with us in every silly jokes, supports us when no one does, stand with us when we are alone and loves us unconditionally. In short a person who understands us most is the Jug of our Life….isn’t it?

Jug Of My Life
The Girl in The Mirror!!!

By the grace of Almighty, I have been blessed with wonderful friends. If one thing I highly appreciate in my life, they’re my friends.

For those who know me and for those who don’t know me, I have lots of friends whom I can count on at any time, at any moment of life.  I have given them tags (which they happily know) the way I perceive them. Like someone is “Wikipedia”, someone is “Miss Google”, Someone is “Situation Analyst” while someone is “Moral booster”. Someone is “App Manager” while someone is “Recycle bin”….etc. Sounds Stupid!! Well…That’s the way it is.

The best thing is I don’t need to be perfect in my look, approach or attitude while turning to them. I’m perfectly fine the way I am to them and vice-versa. However I couldn’t find that one friend, The JUG of my life with whom I can share everything!! That’s a reality!! #Honest

Yes, like anyone or everyone, I also looked for a Jug in my life. Nevertheless with the journey of life, I realized that “The Girl in the Mirror before Me” is actually The JUG of my Life. I always had shared my happiness, my pains, and my ugly moments, my fears and my apprehension with her without my notice. My stupidity at times, my flaws which I scared to show to others, my insecurities, my weaknesses…everything, I have always turned to her to share them with her. And she always had that listening ear, accepting heart, pacifying soul and motivating spirit within her.   She is the JUG of My Life…The OTHER ME, just Me!!!

Jug My Life, Happiness and Delights…It’s ME!!

I For IMAGINATION HAS NO BOUNDARY!!

IMAGINATION HAS NO BOUNDARY

Hello Reader,

Welcome to this post!!

However before you start reading the post, I insist, just has another glance on the above image. It’s a painting.  What do you see in the above picture/painting?  What message the painter might have thought to give through this painting?

Well, you might have your own denotations according to your own decoding/understanding system. Even I had that. In fact, I was wondering, “why the silhouette of a polar bear has a blue sky with dark blue clouds dotted with white stars as a backdrop? A polar bear generally reflects the polar reason that is mostly white. Isn’t it? Then…??

My Son was in 7th STD. There was a drawing and painting competition in his class. All the students had painted wonderful pictures. My son – not an artist for sure but loves paintings and drawings – had collected a few – 5 to 6 –  of them from his friends and brought home and put them on the wall with the help of his dad.

Once they are all on the wall, he asked me which one was good and what message do I read from the above paintings.  With an intent look I tried to judge the paintings. One of them was a sunrise which appealed me most.  So I declared it as best. However my attention was caught by this particular painting which appeared bit peculiar to me. I asked him “Pupun, what’s this painting is about? I didn’t get it”

Quickly he said,” Mamma, here, my friend Manav has been represented as a  polar bear, sad and done, as we have left him in the polar reason. Do you know why? Bahut Masti Karta hai na” and he giggled.

Instantly it brought a smile on my face. I knew how these just-into-teens children do these days to tease their friends. They have a different world altogether, happy and carefree. Isn’t it?

Well, after we had a good laugh session, he stopped and told me “Ohkay, Mazak Kar Raha tha Mamma, now let me tell you what it is?”

I looked at him wearing a question mark on my face.

“It’s the Effect of GLOBAL WARMING in another few years from now, Mamma.” He said as if he is my teacher and I am a naïve student before him. “Can’t you see the polar bear is sad as no one of his friends is alive? They are all dead as all the ice in polar reason has been melted? Only a few flurries of snow like structure remained in the air.”

You know, there will be no more ice in glacier reason in a few years from now if the global warming will keep increasing this rate as of now. Isn’t it? How can a polar bear survive without glacial surfaces? Won’t it get the threat of extinct of its species? That’s why it is sad….did you get it?”

Trust me he appeared to be a little cherubic professor to me….

I looked at him, jaw dropped, amazed. Seriously, the imagination of these kids can really dig a well in the sky too. However, now I felt this painting is best though I am yet to meet the artist… Imagination Has No Boundary, Indeed!!

“Imagination takes you everywhere.” Anonymous….How True!!!

What do you say!!

FLIGHT OF IMAGINATION…ONLY A CHILD CAN THINK LIKE THIS 🙂

H For HANDLE WITH CARE!!

Have you ever noticed that at the baggage on the Conveyor belt or the cardboard boxes, parcels, etc leveled with symbols…Handle with Care!! I guess…everyone does.

We all know the symbols that are used on cardboard boxes are called “Shipping Mark Guides“. These symbols are often used to provide instruction on how to handle the package. Each symbol has its own meaning like Umbrella – Keep the package Dry, A Glass – Fragile and might break, etc,  and handle with care.

It is over and over again seen alongside of the fragile symbol, but a package can still need more care even though it isn’t delicate. The sole objective of these guides is to make it clear that the particular package should not be treated as any other package and must not be stacked, loaded, or carried around without attention as the contents in the package needs careful attention. Basically the aim is to making the people who are going to handle it throughout its journey to be caring and considerate for the material in the package needs to be taken care of while handling the consignment.

I wonder, the same way do we really care
For the Humans we find everywhere!!

It is sad that often we treat ourselves as individuals of emotions WHILE others as creatures of logic. Wouldn’t the vice – versa make more contented equations??

Humans have “a beating heart as content”, which is most delicate and brittle. Often we don’t even realize how it strikes through that tiny organ when we hurt others or allow ourselves to be hurt. Yes, we do allow ourselves to be hurt, without caring that we must handle ourselves with care too.

Sometimes I wish I could walk around with a HANDLE WITH CARE sign stuck to my forehead… quoted by Elizabeth Wurtzel”

Can we ever develop that kind and considerate vision to see the invisible tag on the forehead every human being!!! If really can, the word will become place of love and care….just think about it.

HANDLE WITH CARE!!!

We Humans!!!

No matter how tough we assert to be,
It just takes one odd turn in life
And we become terribly frail and fragile
At times…The most strongly and sturdily attired
Aren’t most often easily breakable within and inside?

But with humans,
The problem is that
We don’t carry that Visible Tag
“Fragile, Handle with Care”
May be that’s the reason
Why we hurt hastily others
And sometime allow awfully hurt us too
And End up, Torn, Ragged and tattered!

If we can read that Invisible Tag

“Handle with Care”
Labeled in every human

For the inside soul and Heart
The world will be a much beautiful place
with a symphony of Love, admire and care
Far and Wide…Everywhere!!

Hearts and Words

Should be handled with Care
For Words when spoken

And Hearts when broken

Are the hardest things to Repair!
So also lives… The Fragile Lives,
Hanging to the slender threads
Can crumple anyone anytime anywhere…

Life’s affairs should be “Handled With Care…”

Let’s see the hidden tag on each human we deal with and read the eternal caption That says, “Fragile, Handle with Care Please”

G For Green Leaves and Yellow Flower!!

Green Leaves and Yellow Flower

Green leaves

Covered with Yellow Flowers

Were dancing with joy and bliss

As I saw them from my window

The trees around

Adorned with

Emerald foliage all over

And bright yellow flowers as crown

Told me

That spring has already entered

The Town

Life was lost

In fright and distress

Amidst the Corona Outbreak

And work and stress

Has become the everyday business

And I forgot and failed

To notice the magnificence of

The outside world

I paused, for a while

To relish the beauty and grandeur

And listen to their songs

With birds twittering the verses

And whispering of the winds

And then it reminded me…

The Same trees had once

In autumn,

Had lost their leaves

And gone through unbearable pain

But then, they never stopped

To renovate themselves

When everything was lost

And when the spring came

They all bloomed, once again

Life involves Seasons

Happiness and Pain

No matter what happened in past

Always there awaits a blooming season

For u…ahead

It’s Life and its Process

Green Leaves and Yellow Flowers
